Basic to Inspired
Guyyyzzz... welcome to my latest creation, a food blog!!! I just wanted to let you know however, that this is NOT your typical food blog. We ALL know how we feel about food blogs. One day you just be needing a quick receipe so you scroll through Pinterest to find the World's Best Lasagna, and then fifty links and 5,000 words later about the five hours leading up to a food blogger deciding to cook lasagna, you FINALLY find a little tiny recipe at the very bottom of the page. That's not what you are getting here. We are all about concisity. You get the recipe and nothing more. So read on!!!
So this past week my siblings and I booked a little Air B&B in Sarasota, Florida to catch some rays for about a week and a half. When we eat in, we take turns for meal prep. I had no idea what I wanted to cook but I LOVE cooking and shopping at fancy grocery stores so naturally I go to ALDI for supplies. After some brainstorming and Pinterest searching, I settle for a simple beans, sausage, and potatoes recipe. It's a good ole one pot recipe and perfect for vacation cooking cuz no work required!!! If you choose to shop at ALDI for your supplies too, don't forget your quarter! Make sure the beans are fresh and the potatoes aren't expired, and do the cashier a favor and put your card in the chip reader BEFORE they finish checking you out. #alditips
Now for the actual cooking. Basically all you do is cut everything up and put it on a baking tray. Take the ends off the green beans and split them in half. Cut the potatoes into thin slices. Throw a sliced onion in for extra taste. As far as the sausage goes, this can be tricky. I recommend using a scissors to cut the sausage otherwise it just doesn't go as well. Our Air B&B was minimally stocked and didn't have a scissors in their kitchen utensil drawer, so a knife will work too if you are in a pinch.
After everything is cut up, you want to make some kind of butter drizzle to put on top of everything for taste. Melt a stick off butter and add olive oil and some seasonings like Italian seasoning and garlic, and drizzle over it all. Then sprinkle Parmesan cheese and put in the oven that you set to 400 degrees, and leave it in their for a while til it's ready to eat.
This meal was so easy and so good! It's the perfect recipe for a busy day, or even a lazy day. If you're a mom and have no time to cook this is the perfect recipe for you. Or if you are just learning to cook and don't know where to start, this one the perfect place to start.
Thanks so much for checking out this recipe!! Please rate, review, subscribe, and share if you want more recipes without all the excessiveness of normal food blogs. We are all about no nonsense here. Comment if you tried this recipe, I love to hear from my followers!
